ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Sharon Hatton and I love to share my love of music with you and your family.

I was born and raised in a very musical family in Singapore. I started piano lessons at 5, at the recommendation of my Kindergarten teacher and was always involved with performances and concerts at school. At 18, I completed an Associate Diploma with the London College of Music in piano performance and commenced my teaching career. One of my first students was my primary school teacher's son who was 5 years old at the time! I taught piano privately and in primary schools. I was also involved in drawing up and teaching a keyboard curriculum for years 1 - 6. Music education has always been my prime focus.

In 2003, I moved to Sydney and continued teaching with Eastern Suburbs Piano Tuition. I worked closely with a team of teachers and taught piano, music theory and also prepared my students for recitals and examinations. In 2004, I started teaching the Kindermusik© curriculum with Pringle Place Music in Edgecliff, Sydney. It is an immensely delightful program that nurtures the natural love for music that children are born with! It helps little ones develop and meet very important milestones.

In 2008, I moved up to the Central Coast with my husband and 8 month old baby. I enjoyed my time as a stay-at-home mum , having another baby, in 2010, but still enjoying Kindermusik© classes all the way through with Jude at Musicrazy. Now, with a 6 1/2 and a 3 1/2 year old, I am proud to open The Piano Bug Music School offering piano lessons and Kindermusik© classes to my local community in Wyoming.

Music has brought so much joy to me and my family. I am excited to share it as a piano teacher, Kindermusik© educator and a mum! I hope you enjoy your musical adventures with me!!!

Bel Marsden - Kindermusik teacher

Bel Marsden is a devoted mum of three beautiful kids and two fur babies. She was raised in a musical home and has brought the same environment to her own children. She spent her upbringing performing within her family's talent school (Johnny Young Talent School) and has continued to work in the creative arts. She has worked in child entertainment, which involved faceprinting, balloons, etc. She has also worked behind the scenes in theatre shows and a variety of other platforms.

She thoroughly enjoyed teaching young ones, singing and performance for Gina Jeffrey's. It gave her great joy seeing the growth and confidence developing in the kids. She is also a lifestyle photographer and loves creating special memories for people. She is passionate about child development and loves all kids but definitely has a spot for the babies!
Kindermusik has been a large part of her family's life. She is so excited to be a part of the team and being on this musical journey with all the families.
